Oriental Beauty (Dong Fang Mei Ren / Oriental Beauty) is one of the most poetic and unusual oolongs. Its leaves are partially bitten by cicadas before harvesting, which starts natural fermentation right on the bush. The result is a soft, honeyed taste with hints of peach, ripe pear, flowers and light spice. The aroma is fruity and honeyed, with notes of white wine and dried fruits.
This is a tea with real character - elegant, sweet and completely unlike any other oolong.
